A TIMELY AND IMPORTANT MESSAGE (Please read)

(This message was originally written as a response to a post on the WhatsApp platform of the BETHEL FELLOWSHIP.)

We must always beware of messages on social media that attempt to blackmail or force us into forwarding them—especially those that specify a given number of people that we should send the message to. While not an absolute indication, that is one of the hallmarks of spurious messages targeted at manipulating readers. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ” (2 Cor 11:13). Remember, witchcraft actually means manipulation. Although some practitioners have not delved into the “depths of Satan” (Rev 2:24), when they attempt to manipulate people with a dishonest purpose, they are actually flirting with witchcraft and it is a matter of time before they become full-blown agents of darkness. And when you yield to them by doing their bidding, you are exposing yourself to an influence. If you truly have the Spirit of Christ, you generally do not need anyone to tell you what is true or what you should do (1 John 2:27). You may seek counsel, you may ask questions, you may tarry awhile, but the apprehension of truth is ultimately up to you through the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).

We have the Bible as an infallible indicator of the Endtimes and where we are in the divine prophetic timeline (2 Tim 2:15; 1 Pet 1:10,11). Get to know Christ as personal Lord and Savior, be filled with His Holy Spirit, and make it an ABSOLUTE PRIORITY to personally study the Scriptures, praying for divine knowledge and revelation (James 1:5). This is not intended to discourage reading other books or listening to ministers, for they often give us direction and support. But in the days in which we presently live, with many deceitful workers on the prowl in the likeness of the ministers of Christ (Mat 24:24-26), A PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IS AN ABSOLUTE PRIORITY. Indeed, on the authority of the divine Word, I say that personal communion with Christ is the only way forward in this hour (Rev 3:20-22). The foregoing Scripture captures Christ’s final message to the Seven Churches of the Revelation. We may fellowship and hold corporate worship, but if you are going to rise above the fray in these last days and catch what is on the horizon, you MUST enter into a conscious and intimate personal communion with Christ—as though your very life depends on it.

As mentioned earlier, however, this must begin with a true personal relationship with Christ. Brothers and Sisters, there are many in the Church today, workers and ministers inclusive, who do not have a personal relationship with Christ. They got on the Kingdom caravan somewhere along the way without a true rite of initiation, and have not had another opportunity for such. Their involvement is only ‘atmospheric’ and that is why any significant experience that they have is often when they are within a group. Once out there, they become lame and vulnerable. The days in which we presently live are too dire to continue with such an ephemeral experience, even if the urgency is not immediately apparent. Do not assume, make sure you REALLY know Christ and that the deep inner witness of belonging to Him is there. If you are not sure, go back to the first principles and be Born Again. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).  Consciously say that personal prayer of repentance from sin and personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God bless you. Maranatha!

INTRODUCTORY MESSAGE TO THE BETHEL FELLOWSHIP ONLINE

(For the benefit of the newly added participants, below is an updated version of the introductory message of this group.)

Grace be with you. As we know, Bethel means House of God. This group is a forum for all members of the Household of God, redeemed and sanctified through Christ. The purpose is mutual Christian edification, encouragement and support. The Bible is our Guidebook, the Holy Spirit is our Moderator, and the Love of God through Christ is our bond. Our vision and aspiration is to recreate, however possibly online, what the early believers had, even as we look out for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the uniting of all saints.

We welcome the posting of Bible verses, expositions, encouragements, commentaries, testimonies, songs, dreams, visions, opportunities, “shares,” prayer requests, material requests, and whatever else the Lord puts on our heart. All should be done with decorum and a genuine Christian attitude. If you are added to this group and think that this is not for you, you are always free to excuse yourself. God bless His House and people. Maranatha!

“How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying… For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted” (see 1 Corinthians 14:26-31).

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:8-11).
